After the departure of Henry, any link between Arsenal and Barcelona is sure to dampen Gooners spirits. Imagine my initial horror when I saw this.

Hold your horses. It is not King Kolo, it’s his younger brother Yaya Toure.
Bloody misleading headlines. I knew that Yaya was going to sign at about the same time as Titi but the connection just popped out. Can’t wait for the season to start and it’s only June. Two more months to go and it’s getting to me.

Henry passed his medical and is now in Barcelona for £16.1 million
June 26, 2007 at 8:35 pm (Arsenal, Arsene, Da Silva, EPL, EPL Fantasy League, Henry, Premiership, Van Persie)

At about 5 pm, Thierry Henry arrived at the club offices to sign his contract. The fans had been arriving at the Camp Nou, where the new kit was also being unveiled, for at least an hour beforehand. They were able to follow the unfolding story as told by Barça TV via the giant video screens at each end of the stadium.
Around 30,000 fans and 200 journalists! That’s quite a crowd for the unveiling of a player.

Henry leaving Arsenal
June 23, 2007 at 8:04 pm (Arsenal)
Well, it looks like the rumours have finally came true as reports are steaming in from Barca and the rest of the world about Henry’s agreement to move to Barcelona in a 16-20 million pound deal. All reports are not official. Arsenal Football Club has requested for Barca keep their lips shut until Henry clears the medical which is scheduled to happen on Monday. Which was clearly lost in translation. * Update. It’s on Arsenal.com
I will be 31 at the end of next season and I cannot take the chance to be there without Arsene Wenger and David Dein

16-20 million pounds is a tad too little especially since Shevchenko cost 30 million!!. But; if this is true. I bid Titi a fond farewell as you have served AFC well. I bid you Au Revoir and may you keep banging in the goals for the world to see.
Arsenal Update
June 21, 2007 at 9:55 pm (Arsenal)
Kind of an ironic title to a post because there’s nothing to update. No players have been signed. Almost. Our current longest serving reserves member has finally moved to Middlesborough. All we have are rumours and ex-players commenting on the rumours. I’m gonna leave you with our our Barcelona-bound star mingling with a model and showing off the controversial white kit.
